Open your workspaceDiscover potential work requests from public search results, or search reviewed customer projects by location, trade, budget and timing. Public posts need source review and customer opt-in. Confirm interest in a private invitation; the customer then decides whether to share their name, job description and chosen contact method.
Find customer projectsUse the project AI assistant to explain what you need. Review one interested contractor at a time and approve how they may contact you. Pause or request another match when needed.
Tell us about your projectPermit AI and contractor introductions come with your free first permit, a paid filing or an active plan. Introductions depend on available requests and customer approval. Towns decide permit approval timing. Compare filing prices.
You send the address, the scope and the signed or sealed pages. We find the office that issues the permit there, prepare its application — the NJ Uniform Construction Code F100 in New Jersey, the issuing office's own form elsewhere — confirm how it takes submissions, file it, and follow it until it is issued. You stay the contractor of record. Some contractors call this a permit expediter; we call it filing the permit.
The standard plans include everything on this page, with custom pricing available for larger or specialized workloads. They differ mainly in how many filings a month, and what each one costs you.

Plans are capped, not metered: send more than your tier covers and we hold the job until your allowance resets or you move up a tier, and we call you rather than bill you. Cancel any time and keep the month you paid for. Buy a filing or start a plan on the pricing page.
Included with every filing and every plan. Log in from the truck or the office; nothing to install.
Describe the job the way you would to your crew. The assistant fills the state construction permit application, every value on its printed line, with your business details carried in from your profile. Download the draft as the official PDF. Signature and seal blocks are left for you.
Your company details are saved and reused on every job. A job you cannot finish today is saved whole, so you can put it down and pick it up later from any device.
Rather not do it yourself? Hand the job to us from the portal. Everything you have already filled in comes with it, so nothing is typed twice, and we get back to you within two hours, guaranteed.
Where the town verifiably accepts email, the signed application goes straight to its construction office and you are copied. Where it does not, you get a ready packet with that town's own instructions: its portal link, its office hours, or the address to bring it to.
Every job you send while logged in appears on your dashboard with its current status, the documents on file, and what was sent where and when.
Fees, copies required, forms, the portal, the submission email, office hours and who to contact, for New Jersey municipalities. Every fact is quoted from the town's own website with the date we confirmed it, and where we have not confirmed something we say so rather than guess.
The same knowledge drives the portal: it is how send-to-township knows whether a town takes email, and how the assistant knows what a town wants with the application.
Describe a job on the homepage and learn what permits it needs: the subcode it falls under, the paperwork involved, and the things that usually get that kind of application returned. No account and no email required.
Every municipality runs its own construction office. The checker tells you what the state code generally wants; a filing tells you what that office wants.
Contractors who file through us can choose to be listed publicly, with the trades they do and the towns they cover. The list is not a ranking and nobody pays to be on it.
Tell us what you need done and where. After we confirm the request, contractors covering that town and trade can privately confirm interest. You review the named contractor and choose email or phone before your contact details are shared.
An email and a password. Save your business details once and they are carried onto every application. Create your account.
Send the address, scope and signed pages and we build the packet. Or open the permit assistant, describe the job, and download the filled F100. Hand it to us at any point.
We file it the way that town wants it, or you send the signed application to the township from the portal. Either way the status is on your dashboard. Your first permit is filed free; after that, filing is paid per permit or by plan.
Text is fine. Or email sendthepermit@gmail.com.
Two separate costs. The municipal permit fee is set by each town, usually from the value of the work, and is paid to the town. Our filing fee is $250 flat for any permit with plan review included, or $150, $120 or $100 a filing on a monthly plan of 5, 10 or 25 used in full. Corrections are refiled free and municipal fees are never marked up.
Yes. The state construction permit application has an agent section for an applicant filing on the owner's authorization, and New Jersey has no state license for permit filing. We file as that agent. The contractor remains the contractor of record and signs their own subcode technical sections; we never sign or seal for anyone.
The town sets the timeline, not us. New Jersey's Uniform Construction Code gives the construction official 20 business days to act on a complete application, and many simple permits are issued sooner. A complete packet filed the way that office wants it is the biggest thing that shortens the wait, which is why we confirm each town's requirements before filing. We aim to have a packet ready for your signature within one business day.
The F100 is the Construction Permit Application published by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the same form in every municipality. The subcode technical sections attach to it: F110 building, F120 electrical, F130 plumbing, F140 fire protection and F145 mechanical. The permit assistant fills the F100 from a plain description of the job; you sign your own technical sections.
Almost always. Finishing a basement means framing, electrical and usually plumbing or mechanical work, which the Uniform Construction Code requires a permit for. Run the job through the free permit checker for a first read, then confirm with your town's construction office or send us the job.
No. The permit assistant, saved jobs, the two-hour hand-off, send to the township, job tracking and the town knowledge come with a single $250 filing and with every monthly plan. The plans differ only in filings per month and price per filing.
